SIGNAL
SIGNAL is the research practice of ELSE ARTS: it tracks weak signals, emerging behaviours and technological shifts, and turns the interesting ones into experiments, products or services.
We look for changes before they become obvious.
Most change is visible early, but only as noise: a small behaviour, an awkward tool, a new kind of reader. We watch for those signals and test the interesting ones while they are still cheap to be wrong about.
Notice. Test. Keep.
- NoticeWeak signals, new behaviours, small technical shifts.
- TestA prototype, an object or a page — the smallest thing that can be wrong.
- KeepWhat holds becomes a product, a service or stays an experiment.
Some things become products. Some become services. Some remain experiments.
